I put on my apron and rolled up my
sleeves to re-create this Funfetti Cookie Cake that I pinned a couple of weeks ago.
I pinned this recipe thinking “I’m not really sure is going to work out like the picture.” Overall it was a fairly easy recipe, there is a homemade frosting that goes on this cookie cake and it sounded fantastic. However that was a big fail. I filled up my pipping bag and set it in a mixing bowl. When I came back the frosting had completely leaked out:
So I ended up using store bought frosting:
The frosting recipe was a big flop but the cookie cake recipe is AMAZING!
Here is the link to the recipe I pinned. I highly recommend the cookie cake recipe, it’s easy and tastes so good! Hopefully the vanilla almond frosting works for you!
It is time to celebrate high school and college grads. I helped my mom make these cute open house favors this afternoon. They are super easy but a bit time consuming! You can personalize the colors to match your grads school colors!
What you’ll need:
- Card stock (Use your grad’s school colors)
- Ribbon (Use your grad’s school colors)
- Hole punch
- Reese’s Miniature Candies
- Hot glue gun
Measure out 1.75 inch squares on the card stock and cut out the squares. These are the tops of the graduation hats!
Get your Reese’s candy ready:
Measure the ribbon pieces. Ours were approximately 1.5 inches long:
Now use the remaining card stock to punch holes for the button tops.
Heat up your hot glue gun. Place a drop of glue on the small side of the Reese’s candy and gently press the card stock square into place. Then place a small dab of glue in the center of the card stock, quickly set the ribbon and the hole punch on the glue spot. Then repeat.
