Easy Birthday Party Decoration

Set the tone for your birthday party with this cute happy birthday sign. I made this set to add to birthday cupcakes but you can also add to any fruit, veggie or cheese tray, etc.

This is an easy project that will take about an hour to complete. Here’s what you’ll need:

Supplies:
  • Card stock
  • Bamboo Skewers
  • Hot glue gun
  • Elmers glue stick
  • Glitter
  • Scissors
  • Pen
  • Letter stencil (optional)
Step 1

Draw the letters onto the card stock and cut. You can us a stencil here if you want uniform lettering, I would have liked to use a stencil but I didn’t have one available and free hand worked out pretty good. You can also purchase pre-cut letters from most craft stores. Making them yourself keeps the cost of this project down though!

Step 2

Dab hot glue along the longest section of the letter and place a bamboo skewer in the glue. Press down gently until the glue dries.

Step 3

Spread the Elmers glue stick across the entire front portion of the letter. Shake glitter over the whole letter. Gently pat the glitter down with your finger and shake to remove excess.
